About 1000 people have signed a petition calling on the Tasmanian Government to provide the funding.
The park is designed to serve as a place of reflection on those who have been injured or died while at work.
In other news:
Unions Tasmania secretary Jessica Munday said the park was opened in 2011, but works are still needed to complete the park.
"It would really mean a lot to families of injured or deceased workers that there was a special place they could be remembered," she said.
The estimated amount required to finish the park is $300,000.
