Community stakeholders have called on the state government to allocate funding in the 2020 budget to complete the Tasmanian Worker's Commemorative Park at Elizabeth Gardens at Inveresk.
About 1000 people have signed a petition calling on the Tasmanian Government to provide the funding.
The park is designed to serve as a place of reflection on those who have been injured or died while at work.

Unions Tasmania secretary Jessica Munday said the park was opened in 2011, but works are still needed to complete the park.
"It would really mean a lot to families of injured or deceased workers that there was a special place they could be remembered," she said.
The estimated amount required to finish the park is $300,000.
