Plans for the $2.2 million St Leonards facility were announced last month.
The centre will accommodate a total of 120-150 dogs, with 43 bedrooms and a maximum of 60 dogs in the boarding area.
The facility would be known as Winston Play and Stay, a sister offering to Pets Now Boarding at Breadalbane.
Winston Play and Stay will operate seven days a week, and will offer about 20 full-time equivalent jobs. Included in that is a full-time manager who will reside in the manager's residence on level one of the proposal to provide 24-hour care.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The facility will have three day rooms, a rumpus room, several day kennels, a canteen, food preparation room, store rooms, grooming areas, a laundry and a reception area.
The indoor area features sectioned space of more than 2500 square-metres.
The outdoor area will have half an acre of fenced and sectioned play area, including a water park and a lagoon.
Nine exercise yards adjoin the building, with fences 2.4-metres high.
The first floor has several bedrooms, segmented for small and large dogs, as well as a lift and stairwell, which forms the dog hotel.
A climate-controlled transit van with individual compartments will provide transport options for about 10 clients around the Launceston area offering pick-up and drop-off services. A dog drive-thru to drop pets off of a morning is also proposed.
The proposed site is located more than 350 metres away from any neighbouring properties.
Noise, odour and waste has been considered during the development.
