Ms Archer said she hoped the meeting would be held on Sunday, December 15, although this would have clashed with a local Christmas carols event.
It will now be held a day after from 5.30pm at the Westbury Town Hall.
Individual consultation sessions will still be held on the Sunday.
Ms Archer reaffirmed that a final decision had not been made on the prison's location and would continue to be informed by consultation.
Westbury Region Against the Prison spokeswoman Linda Poulton said it was disappointing the meeting could not be held on the Sunday as the group had arranged a booking to allow for this at the town hall earlier in the day.
She said a Monday meeting was destined to be far less attended than one held on the weekend.
"We have no faith in the state government's consultation process and that is why we offered to, and need to, have some say in how this meeting is held," Ms Poulton said.
