The report, initially due on October 15, was first delayed until November to allow extra time to take into account the range of evidence heard by the committee.
Inquiry chair and Labor housing spokeswoman Alison Standen told the Parliament on Tuesday the committee would deliver its report on March 5, in the first sitting week of the House of Assembly next year.
"The commitee received a large number of written submissions and verbal evidence from witnesses over three days of public hearings," Ms Standen said.
"The timeframe for reporting was ambitious at the outset, and it has not been possible to finalise the report for tabling by November 28."
