Tasmania Police was called to the Coles Express service station at Roslyn Avenue, Blackmans Bay, about 2.50pm Saturday.
Reid William Ludwig, 41 of Taroona, was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital by ambulance with a stab wound to the stomach. He sadly died early Saturday evening.
Tasmania Police said its thoughts were with his friends and family.
The youth was remanded in custody to appear in court on Monday.
