A woman has died after an all terrain vehicle rollover near Stanley.

A police spokesperson said police received a call just before 5pm on Saturday that a female was trapped as a result of an ATV rollover on a private farm on Main Road, Stanley.
"Upon police arrival it was identified that a 56-year-old female who was riding the ATV was conducting farm duties on uneven terrain when the ATV has rolled and trapped her underneath," the spokesperson said.
"Members of the public have observed the rolled ATV and contacted emergency services and commenced CPR prior to ambulance arrival, at which time the female was declared deceased."
The incident is currently being investigated by Western Crash Investigation Services and WorkSafe Tasmania and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.
"Initial indications appear this is a tragic accident and Tasmania Police wish to express their sincere condolences to the family," the spokesperson said.
