The participants in StGiles' program Studio Space, which brings performers with and without a disability together for theatre, music, and dance, are putting together a show that they will take to the "world's most inclusive festival", artistic director Gerard Lane said.
Edinburgh 2021 will be the goal for the next two years, and they are starting work on their production now.
But first, they will present a showcase of their talents at Horton Auditorium, Scotch Oakburn College, on Sunday at 2pm, $20.
Mr Lane said there would be "lots of singing, lots of dances, and some plays."
"We're about to rehearse a play called Launceston 7250, which is based - very loosely - on Beverley Hills 90210," he said.
"But it plays more like a batman script. It comes from their imaginations."
Mr Lane said drama had a lasting impact on his life, and the same was likely to be the case for the performers.
