Four records were broken on a warm day at St Leonards with newly-crowned Junior Sports Awards winner Butler accounting for three of them.
The 15-year-old ran 4:47.30 to slash more than 10 seconds off a grade 9-10 girls' 1500m record dating back to 1997, and also set new benchmarks in the grade 9 girls' 800m (2:24.53) and 400m (60.39).
Schoolmate and Launceston Tornado Makala Bingley was the other record breaker, adding 59 centimetres to the all-schools grade 10 girls' 1 kg discus with a throw of 28.92m.
