Now, it's an attractive home surrounded by low-water gardens with Japanese, native, and produce sections, all built and planted after much trial and error by the Fardons.
The public can see the garden and ask the Fardons questions at the Friends of Clifford Craig garden fete fundraiser on Sunday, where there will be Devonshire teas, sandwiches, and a sausage sizzle; hundreds of plants for sale; books, clothing, Christmas crafts and other stalls; live music including bagpipes and a school choir; and demonstrations of 'biochar', which increases soil productivity.
It will be held on Sunday, November 24, from 10am to 3pm, $5.
