Nugget's News is a web-based business that helps teach those intrigued by digital currency about how it works and how it can work for them.
It started as a curiosity for Nuggets New's founder Alex Saunders, of Launceston, after stocks he got for his 21st took a hit during the Global Financial Crisis of 2008.
"I got really interested in how shares worked and then went down the rabbit hole and learnt how banks, debt and money all worked and just became really fascinated with that stuff," he said.
"I started reading about Bitcoin in 2012 and thought that it was going to take off."

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency - a digital currency that is regulated by its users and can be transferred around the world without an intermediary.
"Bitcoin is the world's first digital currency that is decentralised - there's no bank or government that's in charge of it," Mr Saunders said.
"Just like the internet opened up the world for exchanging information, Bitcoin opens up the world for exchanging value."
Mr Saunders found himself ahead of the curve when the value of Bitcoin skyrocketed in 2017.
One Bitcoin is currently valued at just under $12,000.
Mr Saunders said once Bitcoin had started to emerge into mainstream markets, he found himself answering all the questions would-be Bitcoin buyers wanted to know.
"People started adding me to Bitcoin Facebook groups and different chats and I realised there weren't many people that got into it as early as myself," he said.
Mr Saunders found himself making video after video helping people learn more about Bitcoin and finally decided it was something he could transform into a business. Mr Saunders admitted his wife was a little concerned when he told her he was quitting his job at a pharmacy to make Youtube videos for a living.
"In 2017 Bitcoin went from busy to complete mania so I decided to do it full time there was enough work to do and enough content to be made," he said.
"We built a bit of name and made some pretty good calls ... we made a lot of people a lot of money so we started to get a bit of a following worldwide."
Nugget's News now has a premium education model, gathering hundreds of thousands of followers worldwide trying to keep up with cryptocurrency trends.
"We try to keep things simple and we break down pretty complex topics in the world of finance, economics and Bitcoin into easy to understand terms," Mr Saunders said.
