Debuting at A-grade level last season, the 24-year-old struggled to capitalise on the form that saw him compile four half-centuries in second grade.
But a full pre-season and the faith of captain Tom Waller and coach Dean Hawkins has allowed the right-hander to take his game to a new level this season with both bat and ball.
"It's been a pretty good start," Jarrad said.
"I've had probably a bit more confidence with Tom and Hawk just relaying a message to back myself and they'll stick with me through a few bad scores here and there.
"I've got a lot of confidence out of those guys and people around me like batting with Sisco [Sisitha Jayasinghe] and Harry [Sean Harris] and Flip [Nathan Philip], they take a bit of the load as well which helps."
MORE CRICKET: Collective blame for big WBBL mishap
Breaking out with a career-high 80 in the first round against Riverside, Jarrad backed it up with 63 and a tidy 3-33 off 10 in last weekend's win over Devonport.
The off-spinner picked up the scalps of Raiders representatives Anish Paraam and Tyler Dell among his three wickets and now sits in seventh spot in each of Cricket North's bowling and batting charts.
A Knight since under-12s, Jarrad's goal for the rest of 2019-20 is to press closer to a maiden A-grade hundred to help his side push for yet another finals series.
"After Christmas last year I probably didn't convert those smaller scores, so it was nice to go on with one and hopefully I can score a bit more in the future," the Cressy District High grade seven teacher said.
"That's a goal of mine going forward to convert one of these starts and especially with two-day cricket around the corner as well.
"It's just been a nice start to the year and hopefully I can continue on."
