Detective Senior Constable Josh Hayes said police wanted to speak to anyone who saw the bike in the Launceston CBD.
"This motorcycle was captured on CCTV in the vicinity of the store at the time of the robbery with a rider who had a hood pulled over the helmet, and a pillion passenger," he said.
"Police have also determined this same motorbike was travelling in the Launceston CBD before the robbery between 9.15pm and 9.25pm and police would like to speak to anyone who saw it at that time or has footage of it."
A 14-year-old male Cold Rock employee was assaulted with a small axe during the armed robbery.
Police allege a man entered the Charles Street store about 9.25pm and demanded cash before fleeing on a motorcycle.
