Launceston City Mission is encouraging those who can to get in the giving spirit these holidays as it launches its Christmas Appeal.
Launceston City Mission chief executive Stephen Brown said over the period of the annual appeal, the charity gives away between $30,000 and $40,000 to those across the North doing it tough over the holidays whether it's due to payday loans, rent assistance or general financial strife.
"Many individuals and families in our local community are facing considerable financial challenges this festive season," he said.
