A 22-year-old Devonport man has been charged with several offences after he was caught allegedly travelling more than 100km/h in a 50km/h zone.

Police allege a white Subaru Liberty was detected speeding in the Devonport area on Monday November 11, about 6pm.
The driver tested positive to a roadside drug test and later provided an oral fluid sample for analysis.

He is to appear in court on charges relating to unlicensed driving, exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 kilometres, carrying a dangerous article and drug driving, pending the analysis results.
The vehicle, which police say he had "borrowed from a mate", was impounded for 28 days.
"Police are committed to detecting and stopping those irresponsible people who choose to drive while affected by either drugs or alcohol," Sergeant James Scicluna said.
"We will continue to target known drug users in addition to increasing our use of random drug tests to ensure Tasmanians are kept safe on our roads."
