It's that time of the year.
AFL draft day is around the corner, ready or not.
"It has been a constant in the last few weeks," he said.
"Those conversations with clubs are ongoing throughout the year, but they certainly ramp up closer to the draft.
"That has been the case for the last couple of months where they come up and, especially in these late stages, where they start to refine things after going through the trade period and their picks are all shuffled around."
For the first time ever in 17 years, AFL clubs have more depth of information on all Tasmanian Devils since the demise of the Mariners.
Notman is not new to this.

The old Oakleigh Chargers under-18 boss has gone through this process before.
"The conversations we're having now it is really just the finer details in relation to the players," Notman said.
"If they've had any additional medicals, finding out a little bit more about a player, looking to more information after combines and testing.
"It's a pretty complex exercise to go through, but we're all looking forward to it culminating well next week."
As much as Notman wants to sell the players, there's integrity and honesty at stake.
"The way I've been that if a club comes to you and you are painting a picture or a story about a player that's probably not what they're going to expect or receive when they get there," he said, "the likelihood to the club coming back and trusting you and your judgement will be greatly lessened."
