Longford Garden Club president Toni Burton said the flower show had been running for 51 years.
"We get people from all over the place that exhibit and we have judges and they pick the best flowers," she said.
In other news:
Ms Burton said despite being 51-years-old, the show continues to grow.
"This year we had a really good schools competition ... it's the first year we've had it in a long time," she said.
"We thought if we got eight or nine entries we'd be happy - we got 35 entries from nearby schools. We're trying to encourage more of that."
Ms Burton acknowledged it had been a brisker spring than usual, but was impressed by the amount of blossoming flora on display.
"If we had a section for windblown plants that would've been the biggest section ... the fact we got this amount of flowers was unbelievable," she said.
