A woman accused of murdering her mother Veronica Corstorphine has appeared briefly in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

It was alleged Natalie Maher, 46, murdered Ms Corstorphine in South Launceston between October 3 and 5.
Ms Maher, of no fixed address, was arrested in the Western Australian town of Bunbury on November 7 and extradited to Tasmania on November 12.
Ms Maher did not enter a plea when she appeared before Magistrate Ken Stanton.

She was remanded to reappear via videolink in the Magistrates Court on December 9.
Two of Ms Corstorphine's friends were in the courtroom for Ms Maher's appearance.
