A 25-year-old motorcyclist is in serious condition after being hit by a four-wheel-drive at Bakers Beach on Saturday afternoon.

The man was riding an off-road motorcycle, in full protective gear, on Browns Creek Road about 4.30pm.
He was taken to the Launceston General Hospital by Ambulance Tasmania with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
IN OTHER NEWS:
A 38-year-old male driver of the 4wd, from Turners Beach, and his 17-year-old passenger were uninjured in the crash.
Tasmania Police said speed, alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor during early investigations. However, both drivers underwent mandatory blood tests for alcohol and illicit drugs.
Police investigations are continuing.
