John and Carole Moxham's home on Rowella Road was completely destroyed by a fire in late September.

Mr and Mrs Moxham's neighbours, who came to their aid during the fire, suggested the Rowella Community Hall host a fundraiser to help the couple, according to hall committee member Rosemary Jensen.

"The community has gotten together to support them because they lost everything," she said.

The evening will include a sausage sizzle, silent auction as well as activities for kids.

Ms Jensen said nearby businesses and individuals alike have shown their support through donating items to be auctioned.

"I think is emphasises the importance of the Rowella Hall as a hub of the community," she said.
