Hobart Hurricanes coach Salliann Briggs admitted feeling as frustrated for the North-West cricket community as for her own team's fortunes after the first half of her side's WBBL05 West Park double-header was declared a washout on Saturday.

The clash with the Sydney Thunder was called off around 2.40pm due to persistent rain without a ball being bowled, with both sides collecting a competition point each.
The abandonment denied the 'Canes the opportunity to attempt to get back on track after successive losses in Queensland last weekend after back-to-back wins in Melbourne earlier in October.
But the intervention of Mother Nature on the Hurricanes' first home game of the summer didn't deter a small, but passionate group of supporters, who were able to spend some time with Hurricanes and Thunder players in the West Park grandstand.
The two matches against the Thunder are the highest level of the game that will visit the region this summer.
Briggs said focus had already turned to Sunday's contest, which is scheduled to get underway at 11am, weather permitting, but denied there would be no extra pressure following the potential lost opportunity on Saturday.
"It is always part and parcel of cricket a little bit, but it was very frustrating just because all the people that came out to support us,'' she said.
"We just want to play cricket and we always felt we had a good chance against the Thunder, but now we just have to get our head into tomorrow and prep well again.
"I think every game is important for us as we still have a long way in the competition, but we need to make sure we are picking up the full points against teams we think we can take advantage of.
"(So) I don't think we will put any pressure on us to make sure it's a must-win, we want to make sure we are dominating every single game."
Briggs will have a different looking batting line-up at her disposal on Sunday, after opener Stefanie Daffara was dropped, with Northern product Meg Phillips likely to take her place at the top of the order, a role she plays for the Tigers in the WNCL.
