North West pair Miles Barnard and Brodie Hayes have been ruled out, forcing coach Andrew Gower to reshuffle the batting order rather than bring in two new openers.
Both Devonport's Anish Paraam and Launceston's Lachlan Newland will move up the order for the two-day clash against Kingborough at the NTCA Ground.
Alistair Taylor captains the side, while under-17 Tasmanian Spencer Hayes debuts.
"We're feeling very comfortable with the side we have brought in," Gower said.
"Obviously we lose two of our leaders in Hayesy and Miles, and Hayesy coming off a hundred, it's a big out for us, but we'll re-load again.
"Kingy will come in and bowl some offies. I thought we missed him last week with his poise, ability to take wickets and contain runs."
After four Kookaburra Cup losses to start out the 50-over campaign, Gower is hoping for a change in fortune.
"For the middle order that have been starved of opportunities in the middle, they can get out there and build an innings," he said.

"So Alistair Taylor, Rhys French, Ollie Wood will look forward to the opportunity to spend some time in the middle rather than getting 10 overs to bat and having to score at a run at a ball.
"The focus has been red-ball cricket now, be consistent with the ball, spending as long as we can in the middle as we know it gets easier the longer you are there."
The Raiders welcomes a slower wicket in their second home game of the season.
But Gower would not go as far to suggest the switch will be terribly advantageous for the playing group - other than avoiding a dreaded 6:30am drive down to Hobart.
The Knights front up with state spinner Clive Rose and Gurinder Sandhu - the first Australian one-day international the Raiders will face.
"It won't be anything like or as fast or as hard as the wickets we've played on the three weeks there," he said.
"We'll play it by ear and have a good look at it.
"The guys in the Premier League have played on lots of different grounds, lots of different conditions so the good players will just adjust."
