The man drives through Ormley Street at Kings Meadows to deliver a newspaper to the backyard of a house on Lincoln Street because it's easier for the couple to retrieve.
About 2am on Wednesday the driver was about to do his first delivery of the morning when he was startled by the sound of the glass breaking.
"I was just going down there to throw a paper on Lincoln Street from Ormley Street and somebody shot at me with a slingshot or BB gun, and broke my back right passenger window," he said.

The driver delivered the paper to Lincoln Street and then pulled over to tape up the window to prevent it from falling apart while he spent the next two-and-a-half hours finishing his run.
"When I got home I called a window repair person and I was so amazed, they just replaced it even though I didn't have any money," he said.
"My faith in humanity has been restored."
Another Examiner delivery driver had a brick thrown through his window in the same street.
