A strong club in girls' competition, the Eagles will field boys' teams for the first time from next season under junior president Andrew Boyd.
"We've got a really successful female program here that goes from under-11s, 14s and 17s right through to the senior girls and we're hoping to do the same with the boys," Boyd said.
"We can now field boys' teams in juniors so we've got a process going right through to the reserves and seniors, so next year we plan to start off with just the under-9 and under-10 boys and then progress from there on."
Boyd said the club would source its players from within the community.
"We've just started to put the feelers out for players now and we feel that we're going to be able to get quite a few players from Evandale Primary School joining," he said.
"We had a come and try day there (last week) and we ended up with about 70-80 students having a kick and that was boys and girls as well so hopefully we'll be fine."
The club will host a come and try day for juniors on Sunday, November 24 at the club from 10am to 12 noon.
