Taking place from October 27 until November 1 at Deakin Playing Fields in the ACT, four sides across both under-12s and under-15s age groups will be hitting the grass.
Touch Football Tasmania's state manager Gerry O'Dea said the competition's five days will be a chance for the Tasmanians to test themselves.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT
"School Sport Australia carnivals across a range of different sports are a really important part of the national landscape in sport.
"For these kids it's a fantastic opportunity to represent their state, go interstate on a trip, be taught by the best coaches and meet other teams from interstate."
Selecting New South Wales and Queensland as the teams to beat due to their rugby background, O'Dea spoke at the jumper presentation about the importance of representative sport.
RELATED
"The first point I wanted to make to the kids is, it's not a right to represent Tasmania in a sport, it's a privilege and should be viewed as a privilege because you never know when your next opportunity is going to come, so when you get picked, make every post a winner.
"Above all, give it your best, give it everything you've got and then enjoy the experience. I think that's really important as well, we don't want kids to go over concerned or worried about the pressure, we want them to really enjoy the experience and embrace it."
