Facebook will hold the event, open to businesses and community members, as part of its "Community Boost" initiative.
Melinda Petrunoff, the small and medium business director with the social media giant's Australia and New Zealand arm, said the company wanted to ensure all households and businesses have the skills, resources and training to "participate in the global digital economy".

To be held at Riverside's Tailrace centre on October 31 and November 1, the sessions will include a panel of three "inspiring" Facebook groups for those interested in the best practice of their creation and management.
A further workshop will cover trends and behaviours for those looking to tap into Tasmania's tourism industry.
"We want to help build resilient businesses and communities that support the success of the local economy," Ms Petrunoff said.
