After driving with Uber since July, she sees food delivery as an enhancement of what she already does.
"I got the big bag last night, it's all zipped and fully insulated and got all these little sections in it, it's great," she said.
But will she use the app herself for her own dinners?
"Oh, I don't know," she laughed. "I know my daughter will."
The roll-out of the service has caused some controversy, with restaurants objecting to the fact that Uber takes 35 per cent of the money customers pay for their meal.
But dozens of Launceston restaurants have already signed up: Zambreros, Charcoal Chicken, Coffee Republic, Star of Siam, Liveat, Subway, McDonald's, Saigon Kitchen, Plough Inn, Food for Dudes, Lucky Bowl, Charcoal Fire Indian and Persian, Cinnamon Indian, Bengal Tiger Indian, King of Kebabs, Pickled Evenings, Penny Royal, Palki Indian, Tower Cafe, Baba's Kebabs, Pomona Pizza, Dave's Noodles, and Indian Empire.
