Named in the 2018 under-16 All Australian side, Jackson was selected in the AFL academy for 2019, playing in the under-17 rep team against New Zealand and the under-18 Allies for their national titles.
He also got to live out several childhood dreams, playing on the MCG as a curtain raiser to the AFL grand final for the under-17 futures side and took home a senior premiership for North Launceston, named third best on ground in just his fourth senior game as the youngest player on the ground.
Jackson caps off his year with a nomination for Male Sportsperson of the Year in The Examiner's Junior Sports Awards.
