The 13-year-old St Patrick's college student started his year at the 2019 Australian Little Athletics Championships, competing in four events and achieving personal-best performances across the board.
Canberra then followed for Lachlan, playing for the Northern Tasmania Junior Soccer Association's Gold representative team in July, bringing home a silver medal.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT
September brought the NSATIS and SATIS athletic carnivals into the fray where he broke two hurdles records and recently, he travelled to Coffs Harbour, representing Tasmania on the soccer pitch.
Lachlan's dual-sport prowess has seen him nominated for The Examiner's Junior Sports Awards in the Male Rising Star category with the winner of all seven awards to be announced at Country Club Tasmania on November 18.
