The once struggling State League venture has been revitalised under Woodfall's influence since arriving back in Tasmania after a four-year US college scholarship with Louisiana State University.
The point guard is fronting the early scorers, averaging a weekend-high 27.5 points.
The 23-year-old had led the Lightning to opening-day wins on Saturday to top the initial State League table.
Launceston first poleaxed Glenorchy 108-57 - in what was the largest margin of 15 fixtures - during the league's opener at Kingborough.
Woodfall scored 20 points in the victory, but first fell in line behind 27 points from Lightning stalwart Ben Rigby.
The pair combined to nail eight three-pointers - three more than the Spartans.
The Lightning set the tone early with a 15-0 start before breaking out to a 22-point lead at quarter-time.
Woodfall had been forced to play a much bigger role in Launceston's tougher 79-72 win over Hobart Phoenix.

The former Riverside High student finished up with a clinical 35 points, including six shots from outside the arc.
The Lightning were up by four points at half-time and got the margin out to eight late in the third term following a morale-lifting 10-1 run.
The Phoenix soon turned around a five-point deficit at the last change into a five-point lead midway in the last and looked destined to win.
But Woodfall took control amid an incredible shooting spree, nailing 17 points over little more than four minutes of play to close the game out.
The true game-changing moment came when Woodfall knocked over 10 points in Launceston's unanswered 12-point charge to a 2-0 start.
But Launceston Lightning Next Gen suffered two heavy losses in the side's maiden State League appearance.
Tristan Bailey top-scored for Lightning with 13 points in their gallant 73-46 defeat to a Basketball Tasmania High-Performance side that featured Launceston teens.
The Next Gen fell to Burnie Tigers 88-62 despite Thomas Foster adding 14 points.
