A 28-year-old Risdon Vale man has been charged over a shooting incident at Risdon Vale.

The incident took place about 4.30am on Thursday.
A Warrane man, 31, received a non-life threatening injury to his forearm as a result of being shot.
The Risdon Vale man was taken into custody about 6am.
Police will allege the two men knew each other.
Uniform police, forensics, ballistics, and detectives attended the scene, and Tasmania Police also utilised a drone to map the scene. An explosives detection dog was deployed to search for the weapon, however it was yet to be recovered.
Tasmania Police reminded the community there is a permanent firearms amnesty in Tasmania, meaning those who voluntarily surrender firearms will not be charged.
