A man is in police custody following a firearms incident at Risdon Vale in the state's south.
Emergency services were called to a Tecoma Road residence about 5am following a report of a firearm incident.
A man received a wound to his arm. He received medical treatment from Ambulance Tasmania at the scene, with his injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
The man believed to have committed the offence left the scene, but was located and arrested nearby a short time later.
The two men were believed to be known to each other, and police said there was no threat to the wider community.
The investigation is ongoing.
