Playing above their age group, the girls navigated their way through their five pool matches undefeated with a 2-2 draw with their eventual grand final opponents, taking out a tight 1-0 win to bring home the title.
"It was a very, very tough game," coach Nick Rawlinson said .
"It was going both ways and we were certainly under the pump in the last 10 minutes but the girls were absolutely courageous and were trying so hard.

"It was a phenomenal effort, true grit sort of stuff. They managed to hang on and get that 1-0 win."
A tournament just for females within the sport across the under-12s, 14s, 16s and open level events, Rawlinson thanked Alstonville Soccer Club, the NTJSA, his team manager - Joanne Wing, and his side's supporters as the team took home the ultimate glory.
"We have the Devonport tournament, the Hobart tournament and the Launceston tournament - the three tournaments within Tasmania but always the big thing for the season is the trip away.
"I suppose it is as good as you can get from the perspective of the team in terms of success. It's the highest measure we can get when we can win an interstate tournament."
