Diagnosed with a brain tumour last year following a seizure in July, Marsden was told of a slow-growing mass with no surgery required until things turned sour several months ago.

With the 18-year-old set for surgery in Sydney on Wednesday, the Launceston community has rallied to help raise funds with a trivia night on Friday set to increase the growing tally.
Aiming to raise $100,000 for the urgent procedure, the balance has hit almost $60,000 as of Monday morning with more than 600 donors and 3500 shares online.
Australian comedian Chris Franklin will host the trivia night to be held in the ballroom at Country Club Tasmania at 7pm.
Tickets are $30 with canapes included and can be bought online here or in-store at Trevallyn Grocer, Harvey Norman Bedding, Rockin' Hot Pizza or KBee Clothing, several of the businesses who have been raising money for the Marsden family.
Lucky door prizes, a raffle and a live auction will also be raising money on the night.
