Meander Valley Council will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, with a number community members planning to attend.
While it is not an agenda item, a number of community members are planning to ask questions about the proposed Westbury prison.
The site where the prison is proposed is privately owned, not the council's land. The council is not expected to discuss the prison as an agenda item at its meetings until a development application has been submitted.
However, councillor John Temple has submitted a number of questions on notice about the prison ahead of the meeting.
In response to the questions, the council's acting general manager Jonathan Harmey said the council was yet to determine any further consultation actions subsequent to the state government announcement.
The council will also discuss its community incentive grants application assessments for round two.
The meeting will be held at the council chambers at Westbury.
The meeting will start at 4pm.
