John and Carole Moxham, both pensioners in their late 70s, lost everything when their Rowella Road home of more than 15 years caught fire about 8am on September 27.
The fire was deemed accidental, caused by an electrical fault in the roofspace, the Tasmania Fire Service has confirmed.
Mrs Moxham's brother Paul Shaw says his sister, who is in a wheelchair, remained at the Launceston General Hospital, while the family sought to arrange alternative accommodation.

He has since started a GoFundMe Page, saying the couple were left with nothing but the clothes on their back and needed help to "start again".
"Carole is in a wheelchair, and John acts as her carer," he said.
"It's a complicated situation, but there is nowhere else for her to go that's equipped for her.
"John acts as her carer ... they need to stay together."
Tasmania Fire Service estimated the cost of damages from the fire at $300,000.
So far more than $3700 has been raised for the couple.
