BrightStars is part of Down Syndrome Tasmania and comprises people with Down Syndrome aged from nine to 30 years old, with troupes in the North, North-West and Southern regions of Tasmania.
Prior to the dance, Brightstar coordinator Mandy Lovegrove said it was amazing to have Brightstar perform at the festival.
In other news:
"It's going to be amazing and emotional," Ms Lovegrove said.
"Their performance is full of big smiles and they dance with even bigger hearts.
"We are so proud of all our dancers for trying something new and scary, they are a determined group who love dancing together and you can see on their faces that they are so proud of themselves."
This was the second time the group performed in public, and the first time without parents on stage to back them up.
