After a succession of tournaments across the last few weekends, mostly at Launceston's Elphin Sports Centre, Basketball Tasmania said the future of the sport in the state is looking very healthy.
"It's been a very successful championship month, with record entries for the championships and all age groups showing a rise in the number of teams competing," Basketball Tasmania events manager Scott Boucher said.

"The popularity of basketball is obviously on the rise, spurred by the success of our national teams, the publicity around the NBL and local associations promoting basketball as the sport of choice."
The North-West continues to hold sway over the results, with two-thirds of division 1 titles heading back to associations from the Coast.
The Northern region grabbed two titles through Launceston Lightning, while the other two titles went South with Glenorchy and Clarence.
"The standard of basketball across all our age groups is on the rise, and the development work that is put in around the state each week by our development officers is clearly on display this time each year as we roll through the championships," Boucher said.
"Our results at a national level are on the rise, and we are providing multiple athletes to various national programs.
"We clearly punch above our weight in this area.
"All in all it was another great month."
All titles were held at Elphin bar the under-12s which was in Devonport.
There will be a break in the state basketball calendar for a few weeks before school championships and State League begin.
