Stanley escaped after being arrested for failing to appear in court. He exited through the front door of the Burnie Police Station onto Wilson Street and stole a vehicle, Tasmania Police said.
He was last seen in the Brooklyn area about 5.30pm on Monday, September 23.
That vehicle has been located in Upper Burnie and he is believed to be on foot in that area. He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt, black pants, has tattoos on his face, with short brown hair and slim build.
Police have said the man is 175cm with a slim build, brown hair and an olive complexion with various tattoos on his neck and face.
He is not considered to be dangerous and there is no threat to the community, however police advise the public not approach Stanley.
Police ask that anyone who sees him or knows where he is call Tasmania Police on Triple Zero.
