A crowd of 1000 basketball fans enjoyed a double header at the Silverdome in Launceston, with Cairns Taipans, Brisbane Bullets, Adelaide 36ers and a combined NBL1 All-Stars side taking part.
Cairns adapted to the cooler Tasmanian conditions with ease, with an 87-68 win over the All-Star side in the opening match of the evening.
The All-Stars Isaac Turner led the scoring in the opening game with 21 points, followed by Cairns Majok Deng on 18.
Brisbane Bullets and Adelaide 36ers played out a close game in front of the appreciative Launceston crowd.
Former Southern Huskies player Harry Froling was a familiar sight on the Silverdome court, making an impact for his new side the Adelaide 36ers.
