Named best on ground in North Launceston's fifth premiership in six seasons, the 25-year-old celebrated his fourth with the Bombers crew as they picked up a 13.10 (88) to 9.5 (59) win over Lauderdale.

"It's a great accolade to have when I look back at my career but at the end of the day, it's a team sport and not about the individual success," Ponting said.
"I'm striving for the premiership medal, not the individual awards. At the end of the day, we all want a premiership medal and that's what we play for."
Developing a strong reputation as a midfield bull, Ponting has become one of Taylor Whitford's most reliable men.
