After a gripping two quarters, half-forward bull Dakota Bannister found himself yellow-carded for headbutting Lauderdale skipper Bryce Walsh shortly after the half-time siren.
Nearly a dozen umpires surrounded the incident, where Rhyan Mansell eventually emerged from the bottom of a pack of Southern Bombers.

With ruckman Alex Lee sporting a leg brace after a fortnight clouded by injury concern, the visitors made better use of their chances early to build a three-goal lead at the first change.
Lauderdale hit back in the second with majors to Nicholas Raglione, Alex Hill, Robbie McManus and Alex Saunders.
Jay Foon and Arion Richter-Salter have led North expertly across half-back with young Devils star Jackson Callow best on ground at the half with two goals and a handful of contested marks.
