As we arrived, we explored the place as the residents were having lunch.
We didn't really know what to do as all the staff were busy with residents and we didn't know where we could go so we just sat and talked until they started finishing lunch.
About five minutes later a lady took us to a few residents room as they weren't having lunch on the table.
So we went to those three or four people, talked to them and took some photos.
It was very interesting as we found a lot out about them. After that we went back out to where they have lunch and their deserts and went down to a table of lovely ladies as they had finished eating.
They were a happy, loving and cute group. We had a chat to those residents, Hosana took beautiful pictures of them.
Once we had interviewed those residents we went to two men having their desert and just took some shots of them from different angles and had a bit of a chat.
A couple minutes later we went back to reception to see if there is any other people we could interview, they took us up stairs in the lift.
There were a lot of lovely residents upstairs that we also spoke with.
We had some lovely chats, and took some more beautiful photos of the residents.
When we spoke to the residents they seem to really enjoy living at Mount Esk. It is a very peaceful and caring place.

When we spoke to the residents they seem to really enjoy living at Mount Esk. It is a very peaceful and caring place.
One resident was so nice, she wasn't having a good day her partner is in the nursing home to so he was giving her company.
She was telling us how one day she was coming out of her bathroom, there was a massive spider on her wall and she has arachnophobia so she called the bell for staff and they made her lock herself in the bathroom why they tried to remove this spider.
They didn't laugh at her either and say 'oh it won't hurt you' where with arachnophobia if you think it will hurt you it will.
So this story she shared with us really shows how caring and supportive they're.
Before we left, Hosana and I got to watch the residents play bowls in the nursing home.
