The Silverdome is getting in on the NBL Blitz action on Saturday, hosting Cairns Taipans against the NBL1 All Stars at 5.30pm followed by Adelaide 36ers and Brisbane Bullets at 7.30pm.
Elsewhere around the city, major events are being held in athletics, soccer, basketball and bowls.

Continuing the hoops theme, Elphin Sports Centre will be hosting the Tasmanian under-10 and under-11 championships a week after the under-16 and under-18 titles wrapped up.
The largest soccer tournament ever held in Tasmania will be taking place at Churchill Park and Faulkner Park from Friday to Sunday.

About 1000 competitors from 18 schools around the state will contest the Sports Association of Tasmanian Independent Schools athletics carnival.
Events begin at 9am with the last final scheduled for 4.45pm.
The state titles follow the Northern regional championships at the same venue last week.
Just across the North Esk, Kings Meadows Bowls Club's indoor centre will be the venue for Bowls Tasmania's inaugural representative challenge.
The innovative concept pits state sides heading to national senior and junior championships against each other.
And the sporting theme kicks off on Thursday and Friday with the popular annual Country Gold championships.
Hundreds of primary school athletes from across the North will lock horns with football being played at Windsor Park, netball at the Silverdome, hockey at St Leonards and soccer at Faulkner Park.
