Wayside Butchery owner Christine Bessell said her sausages were were given the accolade in the Sausage King competition on Saturday as part of the state Australian Meat Industry Council awards night at Josef Chromy Wines.
"You put your best sausages forward against the whole of Tasmania," she said.
Her snags will now go up against the best in the country.
"I'm hoping I do alright at nationals. Then I can say, 'I don't want to be Sausage King, I want to be Sausage Queen'."

Ms Bessell said when it came to judging the sausages, it came down to the tastes of judges.
"You have different judges every year, and it's up to the judges taste really," she said.
Putting together the award-winning sausages wasn't a complicated process.
"You get your meat together - you've got to get a ratio of fat and meat. Then you mince it through a fine plate once, and then mix it with sausage meal," she said.
"Then it gets all mixed in the mincer and then through a coarse plate so it doesn't chop it up any more.
"Some people use what's called a cutter, which makes it really, really fine. But I don't want that - I'd rather the texture through it."
Wayside Butchery also took out two other awards on the night.
"We came second in the gourmet, which was for a sausage that we made here. It's pork, pineapple and bacon," Ms Bessell said.
"We came third in our gourmet burgers for lamb and veggies.
"We came away with three awards so I'm quite happy."
Ms Bessell took over the family business from her dad.
"He had three girls and I was the youngest, and I happened to be the tomboy of the family and ended up taking it over," she said.

"I was the first female butcher to go through Tasmania, and to own my own shop in Tasmania.
"I've been butchering for 30 years, and the shop has been running for over 60 I think. It was the first building in this street and it's still going."
Another Northern first place winner was Nigel's Gourmet on Tamar for Best Butcher's Gourmet Burger.
Sausage King organisers and Wayside Butchery donated five trays of assorted meat from the competition to Launceston Feeding the Homeless.
