Accused killer Bradley Scott Purkiss told police he was being framed for the alleged murder of his best friend Dwayne Robert Davies.

Mr Purkiss and Mr Davies' wife, Margaret Anne Otto, face trial in the Hobart Supreme Court co-accused of the alleged murder.
Both have pleaded not guilty.
Mr Davies was last seen by Mr Purkiss at his Elderslie property on May 26, 2017, and his body was found a week later at Levendale.
In an interview with police on June 1, 2017, Mr Purkiss denied that male blood and brain matter could have been found in a small cannabis grow shed at his residence.

A video of the interview was played for the jury.
"I've been f--king set up," Mr Purkiss said in the video.
"If you're not lying to me I've been set up."
In the interview, Mr Purkiss said information provided by Ms Otto in a separate interview he had taken the car driven by Mr Davies, along with his keys and phone, back to Risdon Vale on the night the victim disappeared was "an absolute load of crap."
"Whose story hasn't changed and whose story has changed?" Mr Purkiss said.
"There's something just not sitting well in this f--king family and Margaret.
"With the f--king lies coming out of that family - there is something untoward going on."
Mr Purkiss also accused police of lying about a statement made by his former partner Jillian Roberts in which she said Mr Purkiss did not come home on the night Mr Davies was last seen.
"You better go and get your facts straight mate," Mr Purkiss said.
"You better go and do your investigation properly because I'm getting sick of this s---."
Relationship 'never happened'
Mr Purkiss told police information provided by Ms Otto in her interview which alleged the pair were in a sexual relationship was false.
"That never happened," Mr Purkiss said in the interview.
Mr Purkiss told police Ms Otto had tried to initiate a relationship with him multiple times but he had turned her down.

"[Ms Otto] tried to crack onto me a few times and I put it down," Mr Purkiss alleged.
"I have a partner. I couldn't ask for a better stepping stone in my life than my partner."
Mr Purkiss alleged Ms Otto had tried to start a the relationship when he was renovating the bathroom at her Risdon Vale home a year or two before Mr Davies disappeared.
"Through that process I guess she came to see me as a nice person," he said.
"In whatever spare time I got I'd go there.
"It was a mates thing. I didn't really get paid."
Victim allegedly fleeing debt
Mr Purkiss told police Mr Davies had fled to the mainland to escape a $330,000 debt.
"A month ago Doc [Mr Davies] mentioned f--king off, leaving his whole family," Mr Purkiss said.
"Most of [his family] don't like him."
"The business was going s--house.
"I genuinely believe he is on the mainland."
