More than 2000 people are expected to head to Cressy at the weekend for the Cressy Community Trout Expo.

Hundreds of trout will be distributed in the 2.5-kilometres of creek, with some fish weighing up to 1.5 kilograms. Many competitors will be aiming to snag Teddy the brown trout - a catch that will be worth $10,000.
There will also be other prizes on offer, such as a fishing guide tour worth more than $700 for the person that catches the heaviest trout or salmon.
Food and drinks will be available onsite, or participants are welcome to bring a picnic. There will also be exhibits of fishing gear and environmental displays.
No fishing licences are required to participate.
