The minor premiers hoped to lock in a preliminary final in a fortnight but with a shock 12-10 loss to Canberra at AAMI Park now must host a sudden-death semi-final next Saturday night against the winner of the match between Parramatta and Brisbane.

And if successful they will have a grand final replay in the preliminary final, travelling north to face the Sydney Roosters.

Coach Craig Bellamy said he wouldn't be making any personnel changes but would have plenty to say to his troops about their disappointing performance.

"We're not going to make wholesale changes - this side won a minor premiership and we led up until the last few minutes so it's nothing we can't make just a bit better in some crucial times of the game," Bellamy said.

While the Raiders only hit the lead in the last two minutes with a converted try, Melbourne had 12 penalties and 10 errors in a stuttering performance.

Bellamy predicted the review wouldn't be pretty.

"We'll review this and there's a few things I'm going to be fairly strong about," Bellamy said.

"We had opportunities to get into our system but for whatever reason some players made the decision to not follow that but to do something else and that will be fairly closely looked at.

"We can change things pretty easily, we just need to make sure we're on the same page. That's what we need to sort out - it's nothing terminal."

The Raiders have now beaten the Storm twice in Melbourne but Bellamy said he didn't think Canberra had any special recipe for success against his team.

"We lost both the games in the last few minutes but unfortunately they've had more composure than we've had," Bellamy said.

"We've held the lead going into the last five minutes both times and blown it and that's disappointing."
