The Parrots ran into the last quarter holding an 11-point lead over the eventual victors but a Tom Bennett special made sure the premiership cup would be travelling to the opposing side of the Tamar River.
Bennett put the wheels in motion in the third term, following a trademark Parrots start which saw three goals in a matter of minutes through Oliver Wood, coach Brady Demeijer and best-and-fairest Matthew Zanetto have Bridgenorth in the box seat.
The two-time North Launceston premiership player looked hungry to add an NTFA scalp to his tally, bringing his side back from 50-metres out after several vital errors from team-mates.
NTFA finals fever
Tristan Collins pulled the margin back before the siren but the real show was yet to get underway with a missed Bennett set shot setting Jake Chamberlain up for the dangerous forward's first major.
Fellow returnee Jake Pearce blasted through with speed and precision to see the Sharks hit the front for the first time since the second quarter and it would stay that way until the final siren sounded with Bennett and Josh Moore putting two more goals each through the sticks to seal the 23-point deal.
In an emotional victory for the club following the return and recruitment of key players, Hillwood coach Nathan Lowe couldn't have been happier with the win.

"We just knew at three-quarter time we had one quarter to go with the breeze and we relied on that. To our credit, the boys just kept piling in our forward line in the last quarter and we got some reward from it."
Daniel Withers was named best on ground, receiving the Clarrie Boon medal as Mark Walsh pushed through the middle and Jye Balym delivered his on-ballers with superb taps all day. Casey Walker-Russell and Zanetto were Bridgenorth's strongest.
