Roses, rhododendrons and of course the ever popular daffodils were on full display.
David Pyke, of Westbury was named the grand champion of the daffodil bloom section.
"It's always nice to get one of your own flowers up as grand champion," Mr Pyke said.
"It's great to win in Launceston because to me it's one of the premier daffodil shows in the state where growers from all over the state come up here."
In other news:
Mr Pyke said spring was a lovely time of the year for flower-lovers.
"You see all these beautiful flowers ... the cup flowers, camellias and all that type of thing as well," he said.
"I think you'll find when you get people coming to the shows like this one, before they've even opened the doors people will have queued up in excitement."
The Early Spring Flower Show will continue on Sunday between 10am and 5pm at St Ailbe's Hall.
