Two first-class Sri Lankan cricketers will help inspire the next generation of Tasmanian juniors at Hadspen's school holiday clinic next month.
TCL premier league's reigning player of the year Thanuka Dabare and 22-year-old Dilan Jaylath will join forces with Chieftains junior development officer Terry Plumbridge to run the three-day clinic, which will be held at Hadspen Recreation Ground from October 7-9.
Dabare scored more than 1000 runs in his debut TCL season and hit a 47-ball century in the grand final to secure Hadspen's first title in nine years.
NTFA finals fever
The clinic will cater for juniors aged between eight and 15 and will feature batting, bowling, fielding and matchplay coaching.
The final day will include a barbeque and a match using all skills.
Participants can choose to attend all three days ($100) or single days ($40), each of which run from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
Registrations and payments must be made by October 1 and can be arranged by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling Plumbridge on 0418 752 830.
